Muddler Spinner Fly

Muddler Spinner Flies are designed lures using a prime food of fish, a fly, with a short striking treble hook attached to the tail in conjunction with an attractor, a Colorado Spinner Blade in the following sizes - (#2 Colorado size Spinner Gold or Nickel Available - #3 Colorado size Spinner Gold or Nickel Available ) can be used to catch freshwater game fish trout..... crappie..... and panfish.

Larger blades are used to better advantage in the early season to give more flash to catch the fish's attention. Even a size #4 Indiana blade (#4 Indiana size Spinner Gold or Nickel Available) is perfect when added to the size 8 hook fly in deep water or areas where there are large amounts of water.

The Muddler Spinner Fly is one of the most useful streamer patterns an angler can carry. It suggests a wide variety of baitfish that trout eat.

Muddler Spinner Fly can produce fish when presented shallow or deep, on a sink-tip line or a floater, on a wet-fly swing or when retrieved. Just don't treat it like a dry fly (although even then, a trout might take it for a grasshopper). Presentations: count-down-and-retrieve, slow retrieve, wind drift, wet fly swing, deep swing.
